Sushi has become incredibly popular in the United States—especially in California. With a history dating back to early 10th-century Japan, the true essence of sushi lies in the freshness of the fish and the care taken to preserve its quality.
Over a decade ago, SushiStop opened its first location in Los Angeles’ Sawtelle Japantown, bringing authentic and affordable sushi to the local community. Thanks to the support of our loyal customers, we have grown to multiple locations across Los Angeles, including Hollywood, Pasadena, Studio City, Burbank, Sawtelle, and DTLA (cloud kitchen).
Beyond serving high-quality sushi, we are committed to creating a casual and welcoming dining experience. Nothing makes us happier than introducing someone, especially young people, to their very first sushi experience.
Our mission is simple: to share our love for sushi—a healthy and sustainable cuisine—by making it accessible to everyone. Our commitment to affordability reflects this belief.
To ensure the highest standards in sushi preparation, SushiStop has brought on two former sales managers from one of Japan’s leading sushi restaurant chains. They work closely with our sushi chefs, providing technical guidance and helping maintain rigorous standards for ingredient quality and handling.
In addition, we have welcomed a seasoned professional in purchasing and restaurant concept development to lead our procurement efforts. With extensive experience in the food and restaurant industry, this leadership helps ensure that SushiStop maintains the highest standards in ingredient selection and quality control.
Traveling throughout Japan and around the world, our sourcing team carefully identifies and selects premium ingredients from trusted suppliers. By building strong relationships with producers and distributors, we are able to secure fresh, high-quality seafood and authentic Japanese ingredients that elevate every dish we serve.
Through careful sourcing, strict quality management, and a strong commitment to food safety, we strive to deliver sushi that reflects both authenticity and exceptional freshness.
